Partying with Toddlers

Keeping toddlers happy can sometimes be difficult. Keeping them happy in a new environment can be even more difficult. Here are a few suggestions to help toddlers and their parents be a little more comfortable at your party.

Timing:
Schedule your party after nap time. 3:00 is a great start time for toddlers. 2-3 hours is more than enough time for a toddler party. By allowing toddlers to take their naps and have time to get to your party, chances are they will be less cranky and everyone will have a better party experience.

Set up a change station for your guests:
Help your guests feel comfortable about where to change their baby and where to put the dirty diapers. Your change station should have a changing pad, wipes, and a garbage. This Small gesture will help your guests feel more at home.

Keep things moving:
Toddlers lose interest quickly so have enough planned to keep their attention and avoid fussiness.

The more, is not always merrier:
Too many guests can be very over whelming for toddlers. Try to limit the number of people if possible to let your child be at ease during their special day.

By utilizing these simple steps in your party plans, you will see how pleasant a toddler party experience can be.
